ARTISTS' EVICTION RESISTANCE FUND

UPDATE: The generous donations of friends and strangers has allowed us to apply for an extension of time to lodge our appeal. We now have until 14th February 2019 to lodge an appeal to save our home & stop Lambeth council evicting our family for Christmas,  Valentine's Day, Easter or forever... We still need to raise more funds to pay for the next step in the standoff with the Council steamroller...

Morganico's artistic family home has just had a possession order granted against it by the judge at the court based on trivial bureaucratic mistakes and misunderstandings on their part & now the council are trying to  evict us from our family home of 40 years' residence in Brixton in 6 to 8 weeks' time unless we can raise enough funds to pay for a successful appeal.

He is also well known for painting many large colourful murals in London, including those for the Chelsea Arts Club, Vout O Reenees members' club , Rockingham community centre, many BT cabinet boxes for the Cleaner Greener Safer scheme in Southwark etc.  He & his family in London are very valued members of Brixton community life.

Losing our family home of 4 decades not only turns our entire personal life upside down but deprives an artist of his home studio... (& makes a cute cat homeless too!) 






We also have costs of around £15,000 to pay for legal fees and loans for court costs so far, and other possible costs of relocating home and creating a new communal studio and work space to move forward with our lives again.

Displacing our elderly mother in the middle of winter when she has just reached her 70s puts her in a very vulnerable & difficult situation. 
We hope that this shocking act of social cleansing action by the council can be stopped before its too late.
