ARTSPACE @ UNTITLED

Dear supporter of ARTSPACE,
ARTSPACE has been closed since March 14 and we do not know when we will be able to reopen. We did this willingly to protect the community from COVID-19. This has put a huge financial burden on us since we rely solely on fundraisers, public support, and grants. We had to move our Spring Fundraiser, the Steamroller Festival, to April 24, 2021, and our current and upcoming exhibition will be solely online. We have also frozen all of our workshops until further notice.
We are asking for a little help from the community during these trying times. We know that many of you are facing these same issues. If you are able to donate even $5, your support really makes a difference in our current situation. We are trying to raise enough money to provide free classes and assisted studio time for our Mentorship Students who have taken the hardest hit in this situation. Our students are missing out on three months-worth of studio visits and we are hoping to open our doors to them in June to make up for the lost time.
Your donation will help us create summer programming for our Mentorships Students. They may attend a variety of classes, demos, and assisted studio time June-August. It will also allow us to hire some of our local artists to help teach these classes. Many of our teachers have missed out on pay due to this pandemic and we would like to try and make it up to them in the Summer.
What is the Mentorship Program?
The Mentorship Program has grown from 10 students per year to over 120 annually. Currently, we work with 10 different schools with 10 to 12 students attending classes one full day per month over the year, providing 30 to 40 students with 7 hours of uninterrupted studio time weekly. Students are introduced to many different forms of art and offered the opportunity to study with international and local artists. The learning and critical thinking skills developed by our students prepares them for greater success in the future at universities, jobs, and life after school.
What is our mission?
ARTSPACE at Untitled is an environment designed to stimulate creative thought and new ideas through contemporary art. We are committed to providing access to quality exhibitions, education programs, performances, publications, and engaging the community in dialogue and collaborative outreach. ARTSPACE brings unique, high-quality cultural opportunities to Oklahoma, and participate in a diverse exchange on regional, national, and international levels. ARTSPACE endeavors to be an incubator of creative thinking, lifelong learning, cultural, and civic engagement through interdisciplinary exhibitions and programs for all.
No donation is too small. Please help ARTSPACE continue our mission until we reopen our doors. Please click on the link to hear some of our students describe why ARTSPACE is important to them. https://youtu.be/H-2M-8Z_k4E
