Funeral costs for Arvin Naeole

UPDATE: Rising Sun's Opportunity Build team has decided to honor Arvin's memory by awarding a graduate of each Opportunity Build cohort with the Arvin Naeole Award for Strength, Endurance, Resilience, and Leadership. The inaugural recipient of this award is Christine Vertiz, and she'll be presented with the award in Arvin's honor this Saturday, 9/9.

Arvin Naeole was a kind, bright, authentic individual and a passionate community advocate. He graduated from Rising Sun's pre-apprenticeship program in late 2022 and was on his way to a career in the construction trades.

Arvin unexpectedly passed away on April 10th. His loss is keenly felt by all who knew him, particularly by his family, his mother and his young daughter.

Rising Sun is facilitating this GoFundMe on their behalf to help cover the costs of funeral expenses, which can be significant. Arvin deserves a fitting resting place and memorial that recognizes his contributions to this world, though his time in it was all too brief.
