Aryn’s Cancer Fund

Hello, my name is Marie, I’m Aryn’s mom. Aryn is the baby sister of five siblings. For those of you that didn't know my sweet baby girl, Aryn, she just graduated high school in June 2023! She was looking forward to attending college to major in Animation and minor in Computer Science. She's very much a gamer being one of the best. Aryn lost her dad at the very young age of 8 to Colon Cancer. Aryn has always been a fighter and survivor of the fittest, this is what makes her story so hard to swallow...

Several months ago Aryn began experiencing chest pain. The pain came and went and we all thought it was something simple like a pulled muscle until one morning she woke up in screaming pain and had to be rushed to the hospital. They ran several tests and labs and determined that she had a heart infection as a result of Covid. We were all concerned but accepted this diagnosis and considered this to be good news as it was expected to be fairly minor, temporary, and treatable.

Fast forward several more months when she was still not improving and suddenly began experiencing dangerously low oxygen levels and was not even able to stand on her own or get out of bed. She was once again rushed to the hospital, but this time they discovered a tumor in her heart. A few agonizing days after the biopsy, we finally received the results and it was something no one was prepared for.

Stage III Cardiac Angiosarcoma

Angiosarcoma is a rare cancer that develops in the inner lining of blood vessels and lymph vessels. This cancer can occur anywhere in the body but most often is in the skin, breast, liver, and spleen. But this already OP cancer decided to go next level with Aryn, it formed directly within her heart - Primary Cardiac Angiosarcoma. This form of cancer is so rare that it is often missed entirely or misdiagnosed as something else - exactly what happened to Aryn in the beginning. And it is so aggressive that most people do not survive more than a few months after diagnosis. After identifying the tumor within Aryn’s heart, the doctors finally began to suspect Cardiac Angiosarcoma, and they expected it to be so far advanced that she would be untreatable. We were all shocked and devastated. But then God decided to bless Aryn and give her some much-deserved hope.

Although Aryn’s Stage III condition is quite serious and uncertain, the doctors were thrilled and astounded to determine that she is still viable for treatment. This was nothing short of a miracle. She doesn't have to give up. She has the chance to fight. And she immediately began chemotherapy just a day or 2 later.

Aryn and my family have a very long hard road ahead of us. And the cost of extensive oncology treatment will undoubtedly be staggering. It's likely unrealistic to attempt to raise enough funds to cover it all. But we must try...

Aryn just turned 18 in January and graduated high school and she was preparing for what should have been one of the most exciting times of her life until her life came crashing down. Things are looking much different and pretty scary now that her days are limited to hospitals, beds, and chemotherapy. She needs all of us to have her back. And the best way we can do that right now is by trying our hardest to keep her hope alive.

We are raising funds to help with out-of-state surgery, and hospital bills, along with me not being able to work full time so that I can be with my daughter during her chemo treatments. And we are asking you all to help us.

We thank you in advance for your much-needed prayers and donations of any amount.

Marie~
