Arzu's Oxford University Education Fund
Donation protected
Dear GoFundMe Community and everyone who has encountered this page,
Studying at the University of Oxford has long been a dream of mine and having dedicated my life to the protection of our global seas, I feel incredibly excited to be studying alongside inspiring individuals in this year's MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management cohort.
However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and changes in family circumstances, I am facing an unexpected cancellation of external funding for my tuition fees and living costs at the University of Oxford. As the daughter of an immigrant family and the first to study abroad, I have no financial safety-net I can fall back on.
With only two academic terms left of my graduate programme, and the limited support available from the university, I find myself in a very difficult position. Inspired by friends whose community supported them when they faced unforeseen circumstances, I am hoping for a miracle and asking if you could help me cover part of this sudden shortfall through fundraising.
If you - or someone you know - would like to support the education of a young and ambitious woman with proven track-record of leadership and a passion for the protection of our planet, please do not hesitate to make a donation here or reach out to me to discuss the details of sponsorship arrangements further.
Any amount of support, no matter how small, will make a fundamental difference and allow me to finish my graduate studies.
If you would like to know more about me, my studies and the work I do before donating, please visit: www.arzucan-askin.com
With endless gratitude and my warmest wishes,
Arzu

Note: My friend and course-mate Edward Beddows will be withdrawing the money on my behalf as I am unable to withdraw the money raised in pounds without a British National Insurance Number. All of the funds will then be transferred to my Oxford College to pay my tuition fees and accommodation.
