ASD ADHD to Africa

Hi I’m Joel-Scott, I’m 13 years old and I was diagnosed with ASD/ADHD when I was 9.

I’ve been offered the chance to go very far out of my comfort zone … all the way to Tanzania in Africa July 2025 for an entire month.

While I am there I would be working with the locals to help develop their communities and the surrounding environment, for example building schools, toilets, restoring coral reefs, vaccinating livestock etc etc.

But in order to get there to do these amazing things I need to raise over £4000.

To do this I will be setting myself a series of challenges and will be completing them over the next 18 months. I will upload weekly videos of my progress and any events leading up to the trip on my Facebook page.

I struggle to go out and about due to my social anxiety and would much rather be hidden away on my computer games like most teenagers but with my ASD & ADHD the challenges themselves will be a huge achievement let alone actually going to Africa for an entire month away from my friends, family and definitely my comfort zone!!
