Help Nate Musselman See Again!

Donation protected

Hello Family, Friends and Donors!  On Friday, November 20, 2015 Nate was enjoying some down time with friends before the busy Thanksgiving holidays when he received a hard poke in his eye.  Not thinking it was as serious as it turned out, Nate didn't think much of it until the following Sunday when he woke up with severe eye pain and could barely open his eye.  So he went to the emergency room.  The doctors told him he had a major eye infection and recommended that he see a specialist.  After going to a specialist in Melbourne, FL he was diagnosed with a very serious bacterial eye infection and corneal damage and was prescribed antibiotics.  After a week of no improvements, the doctor referred him to the Bascom Eye Institute at the University of Miami.  After two trips to Miami and stronger antibiotics, the doctors are beginning to see some improvement.  The main focus is to get the bacterial infection cleared and then we can discuss the damaged cornea.  The treatment will take several more visits to the doctors in Miami and hourly dosages of three types of antibiotic drops and pain medication.  In the end he may still have to have a corneal transplant.

Meanwhile, Nate cannot work.  The doctors are concerned of the thin condition of the corneal membrane and any physical strain could cause more damage to his eye including losing the eye completely.  They have placed him on home rest for the next 4 weeks.  Those of us who know Nate, know that this is driving him crazy because he is a hard worker and is usually very active.

Unfortunately no work means no paycheck.  Nate is also uninsured.  After depleting his savings to pay for specialist visits and expensive antibiotics, his living and medical bills are beginning to pile up.  His family is helping him as much as we can.  We are asking his extended family, friends and kind donors to help with his campaign so that he can continue to receive the medical treatment he needs to regain his sight and have a normal life.

Your contribution of $10 or more is greatly appreciated.  All Nate wants for Christmas is to see again!

On behalf of Nate, and his parents, thank you and God Bless!
