Ashanti's Family Fund

Ashanti, a kindergartener at KIPP Kirkpatrick and a special part of our KIPP Kirkpatrick family, was in a terrible car accident this past weekend. She suffered injuries to her spine and internal organs, as well as lacerations to her head and neck. Thankfully, her seat belt was buckled and she was sitting in a booster seat. After the accident, she was immediantly transported to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, where she is currently being cared for in the pediatric intensive care unit. Ashanti's family hasn't left her side since the accident. Her mom's employer is giving her lots of flexibilty, but she's afraid that with the long-term care Ashanti will need she won't be able to keep her job. All of us here at KIPP Kirkpatrick love and cherish Ashanti and her family so much. We want to help them in any way possible, and raising support so Ashanti's mom doesn't have to worry about her finanaces during this difficult time will take a huge burden off the family's shoulders.
