Ashenda For All

Hi, my name is Zeima, I hope all is well! I am here today getting ready for one of the days out of the year when our beautiful culture is celebrated around the world; Ashenda.

Ashenda is a time when all of us girls experience the time of our lives, we do our makeup, dress up, sing, dance, jump, and create memories with our beloved sisters.

It’s our day of freedom!

Ashenda is not only a day it’s a feeling that lives inside of us waiting to be released, and now since Ashenda is approaching, I want us to create a memory not only for the ones that can freely celebrate but for the ones that were affected by this war physically and mentally in Tigray, for our sisters that were stripped away from their freedom.

We aim to dress 100 girls in Tigray, for $25 which includes 1 chiffon, and ashenda accessories for one girl. Let’s try our best to put a smile on their faces making sure they know this celebration of freedom is forever theirs to keep.

I have created this GoFundMe of $ 2,500 for our girls of Tigray, they must celebrate with us all, so let’s enjoy this day of freedom together. Let’s show our appreciation, love and respect, my brothers and sisters to the women of Tigray.

We will collect your generous donations and send them back home to our trusting partner Tesfealem Afar a man of good work and a humanitarian for the past three years. He will then distribute the dresses and accessories to our sisters in Tigray.
