Asher Moon Branch’s Burial

We were on track for a normal, non-high risk pregnancy, at 30, going on 31 weeks, with only 10 weeks to go until it our delivery date of July 3rd until the unexpected and unthinkable happened.

I walked in to my doctor’s appointment, (as usual, on a biweekly basis), and we were unable to find his heartbeat. There was no evidence for any physical reason as to why this was.

On that day, we induced and on April 30th, 2021, our son, Asher Moon Branch, was stillborn at 2lbs, 1 oz & 13.5 in, but perfect in every way. Handsome, with the cutest little fingers, toes, and nose — he looked just like his dad to me.

This has been by far the most difficult thing I have ever endured in my life.

Between Shaquille, myself, and our families, this was devastating and it has yielded so many tears, but more importantly, strength that has been sustained through prayers, scripture, and just uniting together.

We believe and have faith that Asher is now in the best hands that he could be in right now. Though we may grieve and wonder “why”, we know that the reason “why” these type of things happen is not meant to be understood by us.

For anyone that has ever dealt with something like this, we want you to know that you are not alone in your pain in suffering, and to remind you to never take a single day for granted.
