Asher’s Reason

Hey there, my Son is 15 yrs old recently with new onset of neck pain, numbness to left side of body including ear face and neck. After 8 long months Dr brahma and his excellent staff have come up with Asher’s diagnosis, he has Chiari malformation, with a very large cervical hydro syringomyelia which will have to be removed(debunked). Neurosurgery at the base of his skull down his next, is expected in 2 weeks, after tests after test, medical bills have piled up, and the next mri alone will cost $600 dollars, as a nurse I have local insurance which does not cover a third of our medical bills, in the next 2 weeks we will be making several trips to Atlanta where Dr Brahma and his team of experts will take care of Asher to relieve the pressure that is on his spinal cord nerves so it does not lead to paralysis, Through all of this and even understanding the risks involved, Asher still smiles and his only concern was for me, “ mama how are you going to pay for it?” Tears filled my eyes, And my reply was We Will Make we always have? At the end of our lengthy conversation and explanations all he said was “I guess we really need to ask for lots prayers?” Even though he won’t admit it because he is a trooper and always smiling, with his nervous chuckle he has always had, he is scared.
