Help my sister Ashleigh get back on her feet

My name is Lindsey Boyd, and I am asking for donations for my older sister, Ashleigh. Ashleigh was seriously injured in an automobile crash on March 15th while driving from her home in Louisiana to Texas to rescue a friend in the middle of the night whose car broke down and needed to get back to Louisiana for work. This is just like Ashleigh to selflessly drive 5 hours in the middle of the night to help someone else.

The accident happened at 5AM in Baytown, Texas on I-10. Ashleigh’s car was totaled, and she was life flighted to Houston’s Herrmann Trauma Hospital where she spent 20 days receiving treatment for spinal fractures, cervical fractures, a hip fracture, broken ribs, a large open wound from the seatbelt and broken foot and hand. She was finally transferred to United Medical Rehab Hospital in Hammond, LA nearer her home for continued rehabilitation for the next few weeks. Ashleigh has a long road to recovery in front of her, made more difficult by living alone and needing assistance once she is finally able to be discharged from the rehabilitation hospital.

Ashleigh needs help to add a ramp to her residence to allow her to get in when she returns home and remains unable to walk. She will need help with living expenses, replacing her automobile which was covered only with liability insurance, and medical bills not covered by her insurance. I am so proud of Ashleigh’s recovery thus far and I am confident with your help she will make a full recovery.
