Ashley Baldwin's Fundraiser

I have created this GoFundMe for my dear friend Ashley Baldwin. Here is part of her story and why we are asking for some help from her friends, family and co-workers.

Ashley decided in February she wanted to become healthier not only for herself but for her family. After about a month in she decided to make an appointment with a doctor to get an annual checkup. On the 13th of March, she had her appointment and during that visit, the doctor decided to check her thyroid and noted it was abnormally large. She then had a referral for an ultrasound and some blood work. Once the results came in it showed a mass on her thyroid that needed to be biopsied. She was able to get in fast on the 23rd of March and received the results the next day telling her the mass was cancer. Due to a cancellation, she was able to have surgery on March 24th. She had the 10 cm cancerous mass removed along the thyroid, they removed the whole thyroid and had thyroid lymph nodes removed due to some masses on them (which were sent to be biopsied). .5 of the thyroid lymph nodes contained cancer, which meant more doctor appointments. Thankfully the doctors believe the cancer did not spread beyond the thyroid and lymph nodes. She is still going to do a round of radioactive iodine treatment to be on the safe side. She will have to do a low iodine diet for 2 weeks leading up to the treatment then have to take medication and will have to isolate for 5-10 days.

On May 8th she will get the thyrogen injection and on the 9th and 10th get the medication. After the medication, she can’t be around anyone which is why she needs your help. This GoFundMe was created to help pay for an Air BNB with full living quarters. Let’s show her some love and help her financially so she doesn’t have the stress of trying to find somewhere to stay during her isolation period.
