Ashley Fighting for Consciousness - Car Accident

Hello, we are Tony and Hannah, Ashley's parents. I have never thought I would need to set up a Gofundme page for anyone, especially my daughter, but recent events have brought me here.

On Friday, April, 28th my daughter was one of 8 people involved in a 2-car crash. They were just accelerating from being stopped at a light when they were T-boned by a vehicle that did not stop for the red light. The driver was arrested at the scene and the accident is still currently under investigation. Of the eight people that were involved in the crash Five people were transported to a local hospital, one was in critical condition (Ashley), and three were treated and released at the scene.

It seems Ashley suffered two impacts one from the car slamming into the side of their vehicle and shortly thereafter by the fire hydrant which was torn from the street.

Ashley has suffered Traumatic Brain Injury, she is still in the ICU and listed as critical but stable. From what we are coming to understand this will be a long path to recovery once she regains control of her extremities and can respond to commands given by her care team.

Currently, we are anticipating therapy, to what extent we do not know, we also don't know if the driver even had car insurance. Because of the ongoing investigation, it is difficult to get answers at this point.

Any funds raised will go to Ashley's rehabilitation / medical bills and would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to thank all of you that have already included Ashley in your thoughts and prayers, it's heartwarming to see all the support we are receiving from friends and family.

Ashley was a kind-hearted soul and always had a warm smile on her face. We long for the day we get to see that again.
