Ashley for medical expenses and income loss

I’m Marcie and the picture you see is of my Remie and her amazing 4th grade teacher, Ashley McCloud. Remie and I have come to love Ms. McCloud since the start of the school year in July. She’s a great teacher who is unwavering in her commitment to her students, she’s super patient, and she’s lots of fun! I was happy to be Ashley’s Class Mom and work with her on projects for the classroom.
On December 11th, just before the holiday break and on the same day we were texting back-and-forth about the party we were planning for the kids, Ashley and her son, Eli, were in a horrific car accident. Ashley was severely injured and did not regain consciousness in the hospital for two days. Heartbreakingly, she woke up to find out that Eli did not make it that day of the accident. Ashley was still in the hospital when Eli’s funeral took place the next week. She spent Christmas in the hospital.
Ashley is still fighting for her recovery in the hospital today and has had multiple surgeries already. When she can finally leave, she will spend time at a medical rehab facility. Ashley has a long road ahead of her, with medical expenses and no income coming in since she cannot work.
If you can spare any amount, it doesn’t matter how big or small, to help Ashley at this most devastating and challenging time of her life, it would be so, so appreciated. Her struggle is already so enormous that drowning in medical bills is the last thing we want for this elementary school teacher. Thank you so much for considering a donation to help!
