Ashley Lanum Spry

Hi, my name is Bobbi Lanum-Bragonier and I am fundraising to help my new Daughter-in-law, son and thier two small children Paislee Mae and Sawyer. This little family has had many ups and down throughout the years but this last year has been absolutely horrific. I'm hoping we can do what we can to help during this dark time.

On September 6th, Ashley was brought by ambulance from Deer River Emergency Room to Duluth Essentia Health Emergency Room after she lost feeling to the lower half of her body. She had been having problems with her back and chronic pain in the weeks before this. Ashley went into emergency Neurosurgery and was diagnosed with a rare disorder called Cauda Equina Syndrome. Since the surgery her left leg remains to remain completely numb from hip down to toes, things seem to have progressively worsened over the weeks with her back, to the point where she needs assistance up and down stairs and in and out of cars, she uses a walker most of the day to get around at home to hold herself up otherwise the pain will be too much to handle. She still is not able to lift her own kids, she has a 5lb weight limit, no bending or twisting. She relies completely on her husband Toby for help with her and the kids, with household help and this has now brought him home now from his job completely. For those who are not close to them, Ashley & Toby share two little ones, Paislee who is almost 4 years old and Sawyer who is almost 2.

Ashley’s PCP has made a referral to Twin City Spine Center in Coon Rapids and will be traveling there Friday, January 6th to see Dr. Shafa. For those who know Ashley this is killing her as she loves to work and this has brought her home 24/7 and she is now unable to work, she has been a Mental health practitioner within the community for the last 14 years and has given so much love and help to the community. I hope you can help me help their little family. The funds will go to help with bills, expenses for travel to appointments, medical bills, gas & whatever they may need at this time.
