Ashley & Zack Marchand's Texas Fire Fund

We have watched with shock and concern as the winter storms have ravaged Texas and Oklahoma. Our hearts are heavy as we hear about the many struggles and losses taking place, but on Wednesday 2/17/21 at 1:00AM, it became VERY personal to our family.
My niece Ashley, her husband Zack and their daughter live in the Courtland Circa at Stonebriar Apartments in Frisco, Texas where they have lost EVERYTHING they own to a massive apartment complex fire. The blaze, the largest fire in the history of Frisco, was an inferno for nearly 36 hours, destroying 70+ units, injuring 3, including 2 firemen. There are conflicting theories at this time regarding how it happened, but we know this. It is believed that the sprinkler system meant to mitigate disaster either malfunctioned due to the extreme weather or that it may have been turned off to prevent freezing pipes from exploding. While their unit was a couple of doors from the epicenter and a certain life-threatening risk, they were not at home that night due to the widespread power outages and lack of heat that affected the complex. Ultimately, a blessing in disguise that kept them from harm's way. The ultimate reality is that Ashley, Zack and their daughter are physically safe but have been financially and temporally wiped out by this devastating fire and now start the arduous process of rebuilding their lives from scratch with minimal means to do so.
Ashley, Zack, and their 8-year-old daughter are incredibly grateful to be safe and well, but they have been left with nothing more than 2 days' worth of belongings. Ashley works as a recording specialist at a title company, Zack is a very creative digital marketing strategist and their daughter is a quick-witted, smart, and happy 3rd grader. They work long hard hours, earn enough to get by, and have tried to be prepared for emergencies. However, nothing could have prepared them for this, and what they had prepared is now all unsalvageable.
They have a small renters insurance policy, and coverage to get them through other types of loss, but this policy was minor and never meant to be catastrophic coverage. They are left now contemplating replacing everything from toiletries to beds, and clothing to a simple place to call home. As an example, amidst the loss was significant computer, camera, and audiovisual broadcasting equipment that was key to their careers. Trying to rebuild the necessities of life while quickly replacing necessary work tools to remain fluid in the workplace will offer a unique set of financial challenges.
We know this journey is just beginning and will be long, difficult, and challenging. We don't want them to do this alone! Please, consider supporting the Marchand Family to get back on their feet again quickly, replace their furnishings, clothing, kitchen necessities, etc. We are looking to give the Gift of Financial Relief. We would greatly appreciate showing them that they are NOT alone. We hope you will join us to free up some of the financial burdens so they can get the basics and get back to life and stability as soon as possible.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions
