Help Ashley Start Over after a Fire
Donation protected
After the devastating fire on 87 Benton Street, Ashley has lost her home and sense of security. The building, where Ashley has lived for the last 10 years, was deemed a total loss and Ashley needs our support to rebuild.
Ashley is a deeply community-oriented Nishnaabe woman. She volunteers in her community and runs a local garden which grows food for the food insecure. She co-tends several other local medicine gardens which grow medicines for her community. She structures much of her life around creating community and giving to the people in her life without asking anything in return. From supporting the local arts community to her current work supporting food security, Ashley has always been a giver of her time, her energy, her love, and her support to friends and strangers alike, its time we helped give back to her!
Our goal is to raise $40,000 for a down payment on permanent housing which will provide Ashley with the stability, security, and safety she needs.
Please give what you can to help support Ashley in getting back on her feet.
