Ashley's Bar Exam Fund

Hi! My name is Ashley Foster and I have been blessed to reach the final grueling semester of my law school career at Charlotte School of Law. On February 22, 2017 I am scheduled to sit for the Virginia Bar, there is only one problem; the high costs associated with this examination. While school has provided me the educational tools to get this far, they are unable to provide the monetary support. My school is unable to extend financial assistance to graduate students for costs ans fees to take the Bar Exam and Bar Prep Courses. It currently costs $800 to submit my Bar application, and an additional $2100 to enroll in the Bar Prep Course that is essential to passing the bar the first time. It has always been my dream to become an attorney; to help those who are less fortunate and cannot afford reliable legal counsel. As a young black woman I know I will make a significant impact on my community by becoming an lawyer and becoming a role model for those who come after me. The first step, however, is to take, and pass, the Bar. I have a short time to pay for the application to be eligible to sit in February, so I am asking for your help. Im asking that all of my friends and family contribute whatever they can for this final push towards my lifelong dream.
