Help Ashley get Diabetes Alert Dog

My daughter Ashley has had Type 1 Diabetes for over four years now. She was diagnosed on August 30,2010 and ever since she has just grown to become a stronger and mature young lady. She has had over 8,000 finger pricks, 4,000 shots, 100 CGM site changes, and has changed over 500 pump sites.
As she is off to college in just ONE year I am worried about her blood sugars. Who will comfort her in the middle of the night when she is sick with a high blood sugar and large keytones? Who will help her drink a juice when shes too low to walk to the fridge? Who will make sure she doesn't pass out while taking a midterm? A diabetic alert dog will do all of that! He would tell her when her blood sugar is too high or low and make sure she gets something to drink even if it is in the middle of the night! A diabetic alert dog will make Ashley and I more comfortable with her going to a top state college next year. Ashley is very active and never likes to let her diabetes control her life. Having a dog by her side protecting her will change her view on diabetes more positive and less of a worry. Ashley frequently goes dangerously low in the middle of the night. I usually wake up 3 times in the night to get her a juice. An alert dog will wake her up for me and make sure she gets everything she needs so nothing happens to her. A diabetes alert dog costs 25,000 dollars but would make life so much easier for Ashley and myself.
