Ashlyn's Lymphoma Diagnosis Support Fund

In December of 2020, shortly after her 16th birthday, Ashlyn and her family received a diagnosis of Stage 3 Lymphoma cancer. This illness went unidentified by initial physicians for over a year, and by the time this diagnosis was made, the cancer had already spread to her chest, stomach, and spleen.  On December 28th, Ashlyn and her mom Tara had to leave their home and hometown of Nikiski, Alaska to a hospital (over 3 hours away) that was equipped to provide her needed treatment. She is expected to be there for a minimum of three months while she undergoes 4 rounds of chemotherapy, in addition to radiation treatment. 

Like for many others in our State and Country, the COVID-19 Pandemic has negatively affected this family in terms of hours and income. This has been an extremely difficult season for Ashlyn and her family, who in addition to worrying about the priority of her health and healing, must also worry about how to keep Tara in Anchorage AND how to help keep the household running at home for the rest of the family. 

Ashlyn's family will utilize all funds raised to go to towards fuel and airline tickets for her mom to get between her home on the Kenai and Anchorage, for nutritional support, for utilities at their home like heat and electricity, and for general life items that can help make this difficult time even a little less difficult.
