Ashton Copeland Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Ashton Copeland’s Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established to assist students from Otsego High School, in Tontogany, OH, in their pursuit of furthering their education at any accredited community college, trade school, or four-year university.

 

Ashton Copeland, our 15-year-old son, and Otsego student died in a one-vehicle crash in Wood County, Ohio, on September 25, 2021. Although this was a preventable tragedy, we are now left to pick up the pieces, as we mourn the loss of our beloved boy. His death is a devastating blow to his entire family, his friends, and the community.

 

Ashton was a compassionate, friendly, and loving young man who cared for others. He left a lasting impact on all those who knew him because he was full of joy, and an empath committed to helping people. He was a great friend, but also a remarkable human because of his immense capacity for kindness and love.

 

To honor Ashton’s memory and his caring nature, we are continuing his mission of helping others through education. We thank you for your donation to the Ashton Copeland Memorial Scholarship Fund, as it will serve all members of our community.  

 

To our donors:  This GoFundme is for Otsego students graduating in the spring of 2022.  We felt the need to do something short-term, while we work on establishing a 501(c)(3), for 2023 and beyond.  We thank you for supporting our community, and our school. 

To our Otsego community:  We are looking into the qualifying criteria for the scholarship.  Please, note that average grades are NOT a disqualifier.
