My name is Sang Hoang, I founded Asians United to raise awareness about the underreported rise of Anti-Asian Hate Crimes & rhetoric due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We plan to use the this funding campaign to help us jumpstarting the Asians United Movement.
Our mission is to empower and mobilize young Asian Americans to be change makers in San Francisco. Our Vision is to build an equitable world for all Asians and people of color.
Asians United's 3 Core Pillars:
1. Empowerment
2. Social Justice
3. Entrepreneurship
Our annual flagship event is May 1st, AAPI Heritage Month, it is called "March for Our Elders". To find out more, click the link below:

Our Current Project:
Equip Our Elders:
We will be partnering with Tabia Ye & Leanna Louie of UPC by distributing $2,000 worth of pepper sprays (for patrols) & sound alarms (for elders) to our neediest Asian American community in SF Chinatown, starting on April 1st. We will have trainers and translators to assist the elderly through this training process.
Future Project:
Community Space Initiative:
We’re working on a project with SFUSD, high school teachers and students to create a space for the students to talk about the recent rise in Anti-Asian hate crimes and rhetoric, Asian American identity, and the Model Minority myth. Students would benefit by having a core community and a safe space to share their experiences.
With gratitude,
The Asians United Team
