The ASK For Your Life Campaign goals are: 1) To raise awareness in the Black Community about the right to safe, quality healthcare that is free from discrimination
2) To empower people of color to become active participants in their care.
Interactive and informative community workshops focus on health literacy and clear, compassionate communication. Workshop participants practice partnering with their healthcare team to achieve better outcomes.
Meeting the goal of this fundraiser will allow us to continue holding workshops and develop training resources enabling others to do so nationwide. ASK For Your Life encourages people of color to:
Ask questions until you understand the answers,
Speak up if something’s not right,
Know your body, your conditions, your medications, and test results.
