Asking help for a kind soul.

Hi, my name is Mike, I am asking for help for my beloved wife of 23 years. The last 8 years of our lives have been incredibly difficult due to a series of unfortunate events.

Where do I begin, Late 2016 we had a house fire and lost everything, beloved pets, and everything except the shirts on our backs. Our daughter was the only 1 home at the time and managed to get out safely. We were devasted.

Just 5 months after that in March 2017 my wife was nearly killed in a head-on collision and was left crippled after the accident. They were going to amputate her right foot the night of the accident, but the surgeon at the U of A hospital saved it. She has undergone 3 talus bone graphs that have never fully taken, and 2 ankle fusions with now a 3rd required. Rods to repair her left femur. Knee surgeries and the list continues.

But life wasn't done throwing curveballs yet. She was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2021 and had a full hysterectomy. Shortly after that, it was discovered that she had stomach cancer, which was corrected through surgery and radiation treatment, which resulted in 4 holes developing in her gut. She requires an esophagectomy with gastric uplift to now correct this. But life said it was still not done yet, the biggest blow had yet to come, after some regular tests they detected an anomaly with her heart which they believed could be a tumor or a sarcoma. We are currently waiting for CT and MRI testing to be done next month and the months to follow. The cherry on top was last night May 25th.2024 she hit a moose on her way home from work. Thankfully she was not seriously injured, but we are now down a vehicle as we live in rural Alberta and I had to downgrade our insurance in recent months from full coverage to PLPD to try and make ends meet. Due to the constant surgeries and loss of work for months at a time over the last 8 years, I can no longer keep up financially in this economy. I have sold off everything considered luxury items from our SxS to our wedding rings just to keep the lights and heat on, some food on the table and to keep our home and attempt to fulfill our obligations that I have gotten behind on. Family and friends have helped us so much through these difficult times but we are at the end of our rope and desperately need help. For my wife, I would do anything for her. Funds would be to support lost wages, bills I am not able to cover, and cover out-of-pocket medical expenses as we await the next diagnosis to come about her heart. I am not a religious man, my wife is of the faith. At this point, I am willing to try anything, prayers are welcome.
