It Takes a Village

Hi, my name is Silindra and I am asking for assistance in support of the Stone Family. Parent or not, I am sure that we can all think of someone who has lifted us up in our time(s) of need. Even if you are a parent, there is no guidebook or manual that gives step-by-step instructions on how to navigate the challenges that we might face as we attempt to support our child(ren). One thing I think that we might all agree, however, is that a parent's love knows no bounds, which means that we rally behind our child(ren) in all "seasons", including the storms.

This level of commitment to our kid(s) and family can sometimes mean that the supporter needs support, too. Fortunately, the Stones are privileged to know and be in the company of a wonderful village of people, who are there to offer encouragement, guidance, wisdom and resources when it matters most. Therefore, I am asking, with their permission, that we show her and her family the manifestations of their good karma.

Currently, Sara is in Virginia supporting her son, Jamon, who is dealing with a challenging moment in time. What she thought would be a few-day visit has turned into several days with no clear understanding of how long she will need to be there. As you can imagine, the financial realities of being there for an indefinite amount of time (i.e. hotel, food, travel, etc.) can exacerbate an already difficult situation.

Let's take this opportunity to wrap our figurative arms around the Stone Family and demonstrate the power of the love, care and support of their village. Your monetary contribution, of any size, will not only be greatly appreciated, but will minimize the financial challenges associated with navigating this unknown. Most importantly, it will allow Sara and her family to focus on what truly matters in THIS moment - their son; their brother; their husband.

It takes courage and vulnerability to ask for help, but let's show them how vulnerability, indeed, breeds connection and propels their village to action.
