My 2 year old son was recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia at BC Children’s Hospital on feb 26/2019. We live in Campbell river bc our son was sick for a month thinking it was just teething and growing pains but he just got worse so he was admitted in cr hospital their for two days did blood tests and xrays then transferred to Victoria general hospital for more blood work, X-rays, mri’s was their for two days then transferred to bc children’s hospital did whole bunch of test on my little man more blood work, Iv’s, bone marrow biopsy and more tests to come. I want my little family of 6 me the mother the father and 3 other kids to stay close with our little warrior. Me and my 3 kids are staying at aboriginal housing 15 min drive from the hospital and fuel costs are higher here in Vancouver than on the island, the father is with our son in hospital. We have no idea yet on how long we will be away from home. Everything happened so quickly that we werent able collect enough funds for being in Vancouver for long duration and immediately found that our savings were being eaten up quickly housing, living allowance and bill payments have already built up due to this medical situation. We are struggling to keep together as we trying to stay here for our little warrior so anything will help us. Thank you so much for you time. All the love to you ❤
