Assist a woman and her dog to find stable housing in Austin.

I am helping a woman and her dog get housing. Although she does have a past (don't we all), she is currently on the right track and has been for a while.

She has been staying in motels because it is so hard to get into a place in Austin. Now she is in the trap of having to spend so much on motels, she can't save to get a place.

She has one job, has applied for more and should be starting another soon. Her current job is working for ECHO as a lived experience consultant and she has an opportunity to start certification training to become a peer support specialist with a scholarship. She likes helping people!

But she is on the verge of losing her motel. There is no funding in Austin that I can find that will help you in this situation. Funding just keeps disappearing and seems to be geared towards unhoused folks at this time.

I believe $2500 is enough to get her housed in a more permanent situation. Any left over will be used for things she will need in her new place.
