Assist Adam, a Brave Veteran, in Healing

Adam Coste was an unfortunate victim of the New Year's Day Bourbon Street terror attack. He sustained extensive injuries to his lower extremities after being struck by the suspect's vehicle on his walk home. He is undergoing treatment from a local hospital in New Orleans and will require an intensive course of surgeries and rehabilitation to regain his ability to walk. Adam is the kind of friend and influence everyone wants to have. He is caring, generous, professional and kind. Adam served in the United States Army as an Infantry Company Commander, Headquarters Company Commander, and as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at Tulane University for over 12 years. He courageously served our nation on multiple combat deployments, and is a military history enthusiast. Adam would quite literally give you the shirt off his own back if you needed it. He would never ask for help because he is typically the one helping us.

I am creating this GoFundMe to take away any undue stress from Adam while he recovers physically, emotionally and awaits returning to work at the National WW2 museum, in his role as the Educational Travel Manager, Institute for the study of war and democracy, where his true passion lies.

This GoFundMe is organized by Scott Hedge, a close friend of Adam, a 10 year US Navy Veteran of foreign wars, and a resident of New Orleans. All proceeds will be given Directly to Adam to assist with his medical and living expenses. The total cost of his medical and living expenses is difficult to accurately predict at this time. Additional funds in excess of Adam’s medical and living expenses, at Adam’s wish, will be donated publicly to the Greater New Orleans Foundation.
