Assist Benny and Siblings in Their Time of Loss

Hi, my name is Benny, the son of Rachel Portugal, who I’m raising money for. So, my mother Rachel caught cancer about three and a half years ago now. It was a rare cancer called Nasopharyngeal, which grows behind the nasal area and also grows in the neck. She did chemo and also did radiation after that, including immune therapy. She fought this battle for a long time. During this process, the radiation messed her up so bad she had to have a feeding tube for over a year and just recently started eating very little. Due to that, she lost a lot of weight and was struggling to gain weight, staying from 95 lbs to 112 lbs. She was looking like she was starting to get better with her smiles and talks and all, but little did we know she had fluid built up in her spinal cord. She had fallen and ended up with two fractures in her lower spine and also had a small fracture behind her neck. It made her weak and she started to lose her ability to walk. She ended up in the ER due to confusion and not being able to think. We found out she had an infection in her body. As that was there, it messed her kidneys up and she ended up with an enlarged intestine infection as well. Days went by and we thought she would get better, and with prayers from all friends and family, it was looking great. In the matter of a few weeks to just days, my mother passed away due to all her complications. It’s been a little over 36 hours since she’s been gone from us. We are in need of help to put our mother to rest. It’s so hard and is not going to be easy, and any help from friends and family and friends of friends, etc. Anything is possible. My sister Sarah, my little brother, and I will be very thankful and grateful for any help. We truly appreciate anything given, and we also thank everyone who is able to and the ones not able to but have us in prayers as we mourn and get prepared to lay our mother to rest.
