Assist Brittney and Wesley: Ethan Needs You

Hi Everyone!

My name is Kelsey Becerril and I am trying to raise funds for the Bowman Family. Brittney and her husband Wesley just had their first son, Ethan, after trying to conceive for 5+ years. Ethan has been a true miracle and so loved from the moment Brittney and Wesley found out she was pregnant.

Brittney’s pregnancy was extremely rough with hyperemesis / illnesses with continual trips to the ER for dehydration / abnormal labs. Then Britt had to see a MFM for Ethan in utero. That is when they found out Ethan had a heart defect. Brittney couldn’t work, was sick all the time, and spent most of her pregnancy in and out of the hospital or doctor offices to ensure baby Ethan was always safe in her womb.

Ethan was born via c-section on 3/24/25 after Brittney spent over 24 hrs being induced and trying everything she could to not need a c-section. Brittney had major complications during the c-section and Ethan was immediately intubated and taken to the NICU.

Ethan was born with a heart defect called coarctation of the aortic arch. Unfortunately he is too unstable for Brittney or Wesley to even hold. He has been intubated on a ventilator in the NICU since birth due to his oxygen levels dropping because of his heart defect. Ethan is looking at surgery to fix his heart defect, we just don’t know when.

Wesley is already forced back to work to support their family while Brittney is being released from the hospital as their son remains in the NICU. Brittney just had a major operation, Wesley is back at work, and they live about an hour if not more from where their son is at in the NICU.

My family knows Brittney and Wesley because Brittney took care of our kiddos for years when we lived in Goose Creek, SC. I was a ER RN and my husband was a Firefighter. We worked crazy hours, but Brittney was ALWAYS there. She loved our kids as if they were her own and our kids loved her and Wesley just as much. Brittney and Wesley became part of our family forever.

We saw first hand years of watching them try to get pregnant and not being able to. All the treatments and tries. Brittney refused to give up, she wanted to carry a child in her womb and become a mother so badly it hurt. We all knew she was made to be a mom, she is truly amazing with kids.

Like I said, baby Ethan is a miracle who is so loved by so many already. But it isn’t fair that his mom and dad, who waited years for him, not be able to be with him during this difficult time.

So, I am begging all who read this, please donate anything you can so Wesley and Brittney can stay by Ethan’s side right now.
