Assist Danica and Donna Cate During This Difficult Time
Donation protected
Hello friends, loved ones, and kind strangers. On October 22nd my partner Dan Cate passed away from an anaphylactic reaction to contrast dye during a diagnostic MRI. It is a terrible loss. Dan was a kind, empathetic man who had a giving heart and genuinely cared for people. He was a wonderful partner, and an amazing and devoted father. His first priority was his family, and any time he had extra money it always was first used to take care of his family. It isn't fair that such a wonderful person was taken at only 47, and despite the best effort of every medical team member who provided him care before, during, and after his passing, there was no way to save him. He is survived by daughter Danica and his mother Donna. Danica does not have a job that allows her bereavement leave, or paid time for the loss of an immediate family member, and Donna is retired. Although we are leaning on each other in these times, I do have the good fortune to have such benefits and I know they could both use some help getting through this terrible loss, especially this close to the holidays. I would like to be able to set them both up for the month of November if possible so they can grieve as needed, and would greatly appreciate any help than anyone would like to give. I know when Dan came across a GoFundMe he would always donate if he could, because he really believed in helping others. I would really appreciate anyone wanting to help them as much as he wanted to help others.
