Assist Donna Brock During Her Healing Period

My name is Donna Brock. I have no family. I am 58 years old. I work a full-time job at Wawa and have been with them for over two years. I do live paycheck to paycheck, but I was surviving and thriving.

This past Sunday night, I was not doing anything except sitting in my car. All of a sudden, I got a sharp pain under my lower left breast and then a sharp pain on top of my left shoulder. I thought maybe I pulled a muscle, so I laid in my car for about 10 minutes, but I was getting worse. So, I drove home and called 911. They rushed me to the hospital here in Melbourne, Florida, where I was told that my spleen had ruptured, and my stomach was full of blood. I needed emergency surgery right away.

Also, I had lost so much blood that they brought in a blood transfusion machine, and while having the operation, I was given the blood transfusion. When I woke up, I could not think; I was in shock. I had these staples all the length of my stomach.

Now, I cannot work for the next 6 to 8 weeks. My job with Wawa is going to be there for me when I am able to return to work. But I am asking you all for help to get me through the next 8 weeks. Thank you.
