Assist Elaine Chambers in Kasey's Critical Time

Hello, my name is Karen Puertas and I am writing this on behalf of my dear friend Elaine Chambers. She and I met at our current workplace. Although we are from different generations, I have been blessed to get to know her, not only as my peer but as a friend and mother. I am very thankful for her friendship, and I am writing this from the bottom of my heart.

Elaine is the mother of one fabulous daughter and handsome twin boys. Although all three are adults, as a mother, they will always be her babies. Kasey, one of her twins, is currently on life support. Kasey was diagnosed with Lupus since age 11. When he was 16, he developed kidney disease. At age 22 he reached end stage renal disease and has been on dialysis 3 times per week for the past 5 years. He has been on the transplant list with no success. On March 2nd 2025, Kasey went into cardiac arrest at his home. His twin brother gave him CPR until paramedics arrived, however, by the time he reached the hospital he had been without oxygen for several minutes. Since that day, Kasey has been on life support.

We are reaching out to ask funds to alleviate the hardship that Elaine is experiencing during this difficult time. Although she works and lives in California, Kasey resides in Ohio. This has caused Elaine to be out of state and not be able to work. The funds will be to help Elaine stay on top of living expenses as well as medical expenses that are piling up. In the event that Kasey’s heart stops and he transitions, funds will also be utilized to pay for burial expenses.

Any amount, no matter how little, can be help out tremendously.
