Assist Estrada Family in Their Time of Need

Hey guys,

I’m starting this fundraiser to help my family as insurance isn’t covering the cost of hospice for my father and funerals are expensive. I’m hoping that with the help of family and friends we can reach our target and lessen the burden of losing a loved one.

As you may or may not know, my father suffered a severe brain hemorrhage on December 27th 2022. The outcome of living was very low, even if he did stabilize and survived the night, he was predetermined to die within the week. The hemorrhage caused so much pressure in his brain that it collapsed in his skull. Only the brain stem stayed alive.

He was never suppose to regain any movement or have any activity.

Fast forward 6 months between infections and other complications he started to open his eyes, move limbs, and started to show signs of recovery.

He stabilized for the rest of the time until recently when his brain stem started to decay at a rapid rate.

In order to preserve quality of life and minimize surprises we decided to initiate hospice for my father.

Hola, Estoy comenzando esta recaudación de fondos para ayudar a mi familia, ya que el seguro no cubre el costo del cuidado paliativo de mi padre y los funerales son costosos. Espero que con la ayuda de familiares y amigos podamos alcanzar nuestro objetivo y aliviar la carga de perder a un ser querido. Como quizás sepas o no, mi padre sufrió una hemorragia cerebral grave el 27 de diciembre de 2022. El resultado de vida fue muy bajo, incluso si se estabilizaba y sobrevivía esa noche, estaba predeterminado a morir en una semana. La hemorragia provocó tanta presión en su cerebro que colapsó en su cráneo. Sólo el tronco del encéfalo permaneció vivo. Se suponía que nunca recuperaría ningún movimiento ni tendría actividad alguna. Después de 6 meses entre infecciones y otras complicaciones, comenzó a abrir los ojos, mover las extremidades y comenzó a mostrar signos de recuperación. Se estabilizó por el resto del tiempo hasta hace poco, cuando su tronco encefálico comenzó a decaer a un ritmo rápido. Para preservar la calidad de vida y minimizar sorpresas, decidimos iniciar un hospicio para mi padre. Cualquier aporte ayuda e incluso solo compartir.
