Assist Family in Transition After Dad's Passing

Dear Family and Family of Friends,

On October 15th, 2024, we lost a Husband, Father, Papa, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend. The man we all knew with a huge heart of gold, who always thought about everyone else first, tragically passed away at Henry Ford Hospital in Wyandotte after suffering a massive heart attack at home. It goes without saying how shocked we all are; the significant loss this is, and how much our Dad will be missed. Dad wanted to be cremated so we are honoring his wishes. He also didn’t want a traditional funeral but instead an informal get-together with a meal shared with family and friends. So that’s what we are going to do. His memorial luncheon will be held Sunday, October 20, 2024 at Mario’s Restaurant, 4222 Second Avenue, Detroit, MI 48201 from 2:00 to 5:00pm.

The realization there are limited resources because Dad was the sole supporter of Mom and three Grandchildren, as the Executor of the estate, I need help with the finances. Not only are there unexpected costs associated with saying a final goodbye to Dad, but I am hoping to maintain their home for my Mom and the three grands, and that it is a smooth transition for all. The reality is without some help, the future in their home does not look good.
