Assist in Carolyn's Final Moments

Mother, Carolyn Arlene Johnson-Matthews, always put us children before herself, always working a 40-hour work week while at the same time making sure we were provided for with a roof over our heads, food in our bellies, clothes on our backs, and shoes on our feet. She would always encourage us to follow our dreams, give advice when the world was upon us, and show and tell us she loved us so. She was married to my dad who was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and he died when I was in my twenties.

Not knowing what was wrong with her at the age of 78, she had pain in her legs, went to the clinic, and ended up admitted to the hospital. She found out from the doctor (surgeon) that she had stage 4 cancer, tumors which filled up her abdomen, which also caused her legs to be swollen, and her lungs to be compressed, making it hard for her to breathe.

Now she is again admitted to the hospital, where she is now not conscious to even talk to anyone, barely breathing. Me not able to see her for I live in Hawaii, I need to fly back there to take care of her final moments, to get her prepared for the funeral, and console my only sister, of our loss.
