Assist Marilyn Hurley in Her Journey of Grief

I want to start by thanking everyone for donating and sharing this go fund me for my mom. All the love and support is definitely helping at this time. I’m raising the amount goal because her current and future expenses are a lot higher than originally thought, she needs all the help we can give her.

My brother and I are reaching out to the community during a profoundly challenging time in order to support our mother, Marilyn Hurley.

In the late hours of June 22nd our father, George Hurley, passed away unexpectedly, leaving his wife whom he shared 46 loving years with. Our mother and father were soul mates, and their love was aspirational. The bond they shared was so great that when he was honorably discharged from the USMC he went back to England to find the woman he fell for in Morocco while she was working for the British government…a true love story. In their later years they enjoyed exploring the coast of Maine, but by far, Fort Foster in Kittery was their favorite place to visit.

For those who know my dad, they know that he would do anything for anyone and expect nothing in return. During his earlier years in Raymond, NH he spent a lot of time coaching youth sports, while simultaneously running numerous businesses.

His loss has been absolutely devastating. It’s been an emotional and financial challenge. Our mother now faces overwhelming financial responsibilities and will no longer receive his half of their income. With funeral expenses, housing costs, utilities, insurance and day to day basic needs, we are asking for your assistance. Without having to worry about these ongoing expenses, our mother will be able to focus on grieving.
