Assist Melissa in Fulfilling John's Last Wishes

Hello everyone,

I'm Melissa's sister Barbara. I am starting this GoFundMe for her to help with funeral costs & related expenses for her beloved husband John.

On March 12, 2024 Melissa heard the most heartbreaking words a devoted & loving wife could hear, "Your husband succumbed to his health crisis & has passed away".

John had been in the hospital for an extended time due to health complications. He fought valiantly & we all thought he would recover. But ultimately it was not meant to be.

Melissa is beyond devastated & is overwhelmed emotionally, mentally & financially. Without John's income, paying for expenses is going to be very difficult, at best. There is no known benefits for her to avail herself of to help pay for his final arrangements to have a service & cremains burial in NY, as were his wishes, which is in plans for May or June of this year. She has already paid out of pocket for the initial cremation & memorial service that took place in DE last month.

I am setting this up in hopes that funds can be raised to help pay for the remaining costs & ease her financial burden of the initial costs.

If anyone deserves this, it is Melissa. They would've celebrated 25 years of marriage this coming October 2024. Their commitment to each other was strong & they took their vows very seriously. Her love for & devotion to John was & is simply awe inspiring! She stood by his side through all of his health issues, his amazing accomplishments & helped him realize that family doesn't need to be blood, we were his family & we loved him very much.

Please, if you can find it in your heart to help my sister, make this heartbreaking journey a little less frightening & stressful, it would mean the world to me, to her family &, most of all to her!
