Assist Melody in Honoring Carol's Memory

Hi, my name is Joyce. I am doing this GoFundMe for the first time and I am not very computer literate. I am doing this to help a very dear friend of close to 30 years. Melody lost her younger sister, friend, and roommate Sunday night at the young age of 66. Carol Smith passed at home with Melody beside her. Like myself, Melody's only income is social security, and as many of you know, it's a struggle month to month.

Carol has been a resident of Silverton, Oregon for close to 20 years and some of you may have seen her out and about, maybe grocery shopping or at Dollar General. You may have never knew her name, but she always enjoyed friendly conversation with people and always had a smile. For those who didn't know her, she was the type of person you would enjoy having a conversation with.

Carol was taken to Unger Funeral Home, who we spoke with yesterday. Those of you who have gone through this sort of thing know they don't accept any payment plan and of course wouldn't take a post-dated check. However, they were kind enough to give us a discount of $405, but the balance needs to be paid by August 13th. If not, there is a $95 a day charge thereafter. We need help.
