Help My Family Evacuate from Gaza

Hello everyone,

I hope you all are fine, healthy, and in peace. I am setting out a call for solidarity for my family. If you are reading this, supporting this campaign, be it sharing or donating, is utterly helpful and provides a lifeline to my family.

Who am I and for whom I am raising funds?

I'm Khalid Dader, a Palestinian from Gaza, and an international student based in Norway and Finland. I went out from Gaza three years ago to pursue higher education. I am creating this fundraising space to help my small family evacuate to Egypt after surviving more than 160 days of displacement, fear, trauma, separation, and hunger.

Since October, my father who has been detained and tortured for 20 days, only to finally be sent to the South of Gaza has been in a tent since then, separated from the rest of my family who could not evacuate, like thousands of people in the North. I am reaching out to you hopeful, as the only thing I have left, to help them make it out from Gaza to Egypt. Being away from my family during such circumstances for more than 6 months, I have been doing my absolute best to help them with all I can, yet I reach out to you today for solidarity.

They have so far survived 160 days of horror, fear, and hunger. After living hell on earth during the ground invasion in continual displacement running with their lives from one place to another, they returned to our partially destroyed house. Now, amid severe shortages of food and resources and an unmatchable rise in prices over more than 160 days of the war, along with shouldering pain, trauma, and fear, who can live in a place that has nothing but mere destruction and deathcalls?

How the money will be used?

My brother has turned to me for funding to evacuate to Egypt. As globally known this far, evacuating to Egypt requires $5,000 per person. I humbly ask for your support and help during such bleak times.

Here is a detailed explanation of the needed funding:
