Assist Raynell and DJ in Honoring Deshawn's Memory

Hello, my name is Rayshell. My twin sister recently lost her partner, Deshawn Micheal Valentine, who was just 40 years old. He passed away due to complications from being paralyzed after an accident. On September 24, 2024, Deshawn was shot in a senseless act of violence over an argument. As a result, he became paralyzed and had fought for his life for several months. Deshawn finally came home in January, and the family had hope that he was on the road to recovery. However, his heart was tired, and being paralyzed while raising a son was very challenging for him. He fought hard to come home to be with his family one last time, trying to be present and caring for his son, Raynell, and his mother. Although he was in pain, he told them every day how much he loved them and how happy he was to be home. Deshawn loved his family so much, Deshawn was the sole provider for his family making sure they were taking care of and it hurts to know he is no longer with us. Even though he is gone, his family finds comfort in knowing he is finally at peace. He fought a long and difficult battle to be with us, but God had other plans.

Deshawn leaves behind his wife, Raynell, and their 3-year-old son, Deshawn Jr. (DJ). Raynell and Deshawn were together for 18 years, and after many years of trying, they were finally blessed with their son in 2021. It is heartbreaking that Deshawn will not be here to see him grow up. The bond between DJ and Deshawn was undeniable; he truly loved his son.

My family is grieving right now, and my twin sister needs all the support she can get during this difficult time. I truly appreciate any help that people can offer. Thank you, and please keep my family in your prayers.
