Assist Robert's Family in Overcoming Income Loss

Hello! My name is Robert, and I'm sad to say that I need to set up a GoFundMe to help my household out.

To add context to the situation, my wife is a refugee from Ukraine. We're waiting on her I-485 to be approved so that she can have her greencard, and in the meantime, we filed an I-764 so that she can be authorized to continue working after her parole ends in December. We just received word that the form was not categorized correctly, so she was "renewed" to work until the day her parole would have ended, which is December 1. We now have to re-file the form, pay the fee again, and wait for an approval before she will be able to return to work, which puts our household income in a bit of a tight spot.

Right now, I drive for Uber, paying for the groceries, car/insurance payment, and other things needed for the house while I try to find a more permanent position outside of driving, but have had no luck yet finding work in a technical field, whether remote or on-site. Our roommate, who I pulled from an abusive household in Florida, is not capable of physical work and does writing commissions for his side of income, so with her losing her form of income next month, we're all three put in a very tight situation.

I set the goal as $5000 as a 'round-up' if we were to be in an extremely tight financial bind for a span of three months, which would give us plenty of time to wait for her form to not only renew, but also to try and find work again, as we wouldn't be able to guarantee she could simply return to her previous job. If all goes well, hopefully we won't even need to meet the final goal, but I found that it's much safer to plan ahead and for the worst case scenario than to just take it one day at a time.
