Assist Shawn Morgan's Loved Ones in Need

Shawn "Morgan" Coalson, 27, of Statesville, NC, passed away on October 13, 2024.

He was born June 3, 1997, in Surry County, to Christy Jones Coalson and the late

Thomas Neil Coalson.

He attended Horizon Church in Statesville, where he found the Lord. Morgan attended North Rowan High School.

He worked as a "jack of all trades". He was a farmer, landscaper, and did many odds and ends jobs. His laugh could light up the room. He loved listening to music a little loud. He was a country boy with a little bit of rock and roll. He enjoyed learning new languages. He was a survivalist. Morgan enjoyed sitting by the bonfire, having a beer with friends. He loved the lake and the mountains. He was a "wild man" and shined his brightest when he was outdoors. Morgan was a "porch sittin' spittin' country boy". He loved his family and friends, with that being said his friends were also family. He loved helping others and was always putting others before himself.

In addition to his mother, Christy Coalson, Morgan is survived by his children,

Xander William Taylor and Thomas Dean Coalson; fiancé, Kate Crandall; siblings, Mary Elizabeth Coalson (Jon), Zoe Elizabeth Coalson, Gabriel Coalson, Denver and Daniel Quinterios; grandparents, Denny Jones, Sr., and Judy Burchette; aunts, Angie Nunn (Mark),Tasha Zachary (Tom), Stacey Brown (Jamie), Vickie Coalson; uncle, Denny Jones, Jr., (Amanda); niece, Lilly Forrest; nephew, Raidyn Mansfield.
