Assist Sierra in Overcoming Her Unforeseen Tragedy

My Name is Sierra. I am from Long Beach, California.

I am currently a full-time student and case manager/advocate for the homeless with the goal to start my own nonprofit to continue advocating for the homeless located not only in my hometown, but all over Los Angeles.

In 2022, through the grace of God, I worked hard and saved up as much money as I could to save up for a 2020 Kia Optima. I put down a large down payment and finally bought it and named it Grayson.

Last night Grayson was stolen in Long Beach while I was taking night classes to pursue my passions and further my career in barber school. The final call I received was saying they located Grayson, but it was completely totaled due to a collision and fire damage. Due to my busy schedule, I go from work (at 7am) to school (ending at 10pm) every day during the week and last night, I lost some important/expensive work and school items due to the fire and sadly, there was also one casualty that also resulted from this theft.

When I bought Grayson, I was unaware of the risks that came with it. I had full coverage until Oct 2023. I was told in order to substain full coverage, I would have to pay between $800-$1000 on top of my car note. I settled for Liability which is still very pricey and I did not see something like this ever happening.

Grayson has been such an important factor in helping me achieve my goals and bettering my life. I am now forced with the financial decision of having to withdraw from school due to this unforeseen tragedy as well as being at risk of losing my job. These are both things I'm very passionate about and my whole life and day to day life has changed in the blink of an eye.

The money donated will help me to put towards paying off Grayson as well as obtaining a new car to help in furthering my goals and getting back on my feet in the event that I do lose my job.
