Assist Smyth County Deputy's Families

Deputy Fedorchuk has been released from the hospital following surgery and is home resting with his family. We continue to pray for his continued recovery.

Smyth County Sheriff's Deputy Hunter D. Reedy passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, in Marion, VA.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Chilhowie Christian Church, 172 Apple Valley Road, Chilhowie, VA with Pastor Shawn Womack and Pastor Wesley Eller officiating. Private family interment will follow. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 16, 2024, from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at the Chilhowie Christian Church. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home of Marion is serving the family of Deputy Hunter D. Reedy.

Friday, August 9th, 2024 Smyth County Deputy Reedy's life was taken in the line of duty and Deputy Fedorchuk was injured and required surgery. Deputy Reedy leave behind a wife, three small children and his brothers and sisters in Blue.

This fundraiser will be given to the families to help with funeral and medical expenses.

The final monies will be distributed to the Smyth County Sheriff's Office to give to the families ultimately.
