Assist Students Affected by LA Fires

My name is Ariena Thurairajah, founder of the Global Initiative for Research Learning in STEM (GIRLS), a nonprofit foundation dedicated to providing equitable access to STEM education in underprivileged communities.

Part of our work involves partnering with businesses to collect and refurbish old working laptops. Volunteer students refresh these devices, which are then distributed to school children in underserved communities.

With the recent LA fires displacing many families, there is an urgent need for laptops to ensure that students' learning is not disrupted, as it was during the pandemic. This donation drive aims to raise funds to secure additional laptops for students directly affected by the disaster.
