Assist the Leatherberrys in Honoring Angela

Hello All,

This is Alyssa Leatherberry, Angela Leatherberry’s daughter.

A dearly beloved wife of 28 years and mother was lost on Friday, June 21st. My mother passed away peacefully in her sleep and since then my father and I have been spending time together to grieve. We are very grateful for everyone’s kind words and support.

We have been dealing with the burden of losing my mother. Unfortunately, the loss of loved ones follows a financial burden. We are looking to raise money towards the funeral expenses for my mother.

Both my father and mother lost their jobs in late September of 2023 following the closing of Comstock Tire & Auto on S Park St. Throughout my mother and father’s ten-year tenure with the Comstock family business; they created many lasting relationships in the community through compassionate service towards their customers. They completely turned the company around from failing to, well, truly flourishing. The Comstock business had never been more successful than when it was sadly closed.

Since then, my mother has been feverishly searching for employment. But for those who know, starting over these days is not easy.

That brings us to today, my father has been working, and we can cover all of our bills. However, we were not ready for this large of an unexpected cost (no one ever is). Now we are reaching out to the community that my parents have served and helped for so many years.

Thank you everyone for supporting my father and me through this devastating time, whether financially or with your love. My mother was an incredibly loving, caring, and selfless individual. We were so lucky to have her in our lives and will continue to think of her every day.
