Assist the McKeegans in Their Time of Need

My name is Allison Calvaruso, and I am the cousin of Amanda, Kyra, and Sean McKeegan. Over the weekend, the twins were unable to reach their father. After several attempts to contact him, they felt uneasy and decided to request a wellness check at their house.

Tragically, they discovered that their father, my uncle Doug McKeegan, had passed away from a heart attack. Doug was the primary caregiver for his high school sweetheart and wife, Lisa McKeegan, who suffered a stroke a few years ago and is unable to care for herself. Despite his own long battle with kidney disease, Doug dedicated himself to caring for Lisa. This disease has deeply affected our family; I lost my mother, Carolyn McKeegan Calvaruso, to kidney disease a few years ago.

My cousins are now faced with the immense challenge of arranging full-time care for their mother, selling their childhood home, and laying their father to rest. While money cannot heal the pain of their loss, it can alleviate some of the stress related to these upcoming expenses.

Lisa is currently in the hospital, where she was taken for observation after Doug's passing. Her level of care is beyond what her children can manage alone.
