Assist the Resendez Family in Honoring Raul's Memory

Hello, my name is Kathryn Resendez. Unfortunately, on Saturday, June 15th, my grandfather Raul Resendez was admitted into the Providence Hospital due to some severe medical health issues. Due to these health issues, my grandfather was not released to a rehab facility until the first or second week of July. I visited him as often as possible with my two children so that he could see them and get to know them more. I always tried my best to ensure he saw his great-grandkids.

After the first week or so, my grandfather was improving his health quickly. However, my family was suddenly dealing with a lot of preparations for my grandfather. He was an amazing man but left us with bills that were not paid yet. I am asking for help because our family had to make the hardest decision that nobody should have to make. On Sunday, August 11th, we consulted with the doctors and took out the breathing tube. Our family had to make the hardest decision that nobody else had to make and that was taking my grandfather off of the ventilator since he did not want to be on the machine. He was 75 years old and was a hell of a man. The family came and said their goodbyes and my father stayed with my grandfather until I got there again after getting something to eat. I played a voice clip that his great-grandkids sent saying they love him. I fell asleep and my dad told me to go home. As I went to leave, my uncle was in the lobby waiting to go upstairs with my dad until 3:43 AM Monday, the morning of August 12th, when my grandfather said goodbye and took his last breath. I broke down and I have been trying to keep it together for my kids and my dad has been taking on the responsibilities of being head of the family now.

Due to my grandfather's passing, he had severe pneumonia. I am asking for any donations to help my dad and our family cremate my grandfather and pay the bills that need to be paid due to his passing.
